What do World Braille Day and Our Place have in common?

Happy World Braille Day!

This year is the third World Braille Day, and we’re happy to be able to make this announcement on the day we celebrate Louis Braille’s accomplishments and the spread of braille around the world!

For a while now, Hyacinth and Michael have been working on a series of stories for people in kindergarten called “Our Place.” While we don’t have the back cover “About the Book” stuff finished yet, we’re so excited to tell you that the series is about Monica and Brad, a set of blind twins. Their stories will be both fun to read, and also educational. You’ll meet them, their family, friends, and teachers along the way, and you’ll also learn about braille!

Hyacinth writes, and Michael explains braille.

We don’t know when the first book will be finished, but we hope it’s before or on the next World Braille Day!

Dear Reader,

Welcome to HGB4YR, my new website dedicated to young readers.

My name is Hyacinth Grey, and I love to talk about writing! I also love to write, and later this year, I plan to publish the first book in a series of books about kids in kindergarten. The first book is called “Our Place: Monica and Brad Start School.” I can’t wait to share more information with you. 🤸
